Day #31

In talking with people who have participated in the challenge it sounds like everyone will continue to keep green smoothies as a diet staple. We have all settled into our patterns and dislikes and likes. We also agree that the amount of nutrients is truly amazing!
So as we close this challenge let's continue to support each other these last nine days. Take care and let us know how it's going.

  1. Yesterday I juiced pears, apples and Colorado peaches as a base for a batch of smoothies that will take me through the weekend. They're fabulous! The first blender full I used up the rest of my vanilla yogurt; the second the rest of my honey yogurt and the honey is still my favorite.

Just got back from farmers market, where I found a nice bunch of beets with smaller greens that I'll wash up, along with my now old stand bys swiss chard and that purple leaf lettuce. I've never tried mixing them up so will do that on Monday. I also purchased some green beans. Has anyone experimented with those yet?

It's so easy and fun to do this in summer. I used to be hit or miss with the Farmer's Market and now I look forward to my Saturday morning trip to see what goodies I can find.

I also picked up protein powder so will fill up a baggie for you Ger'.

It's great to go "yep, yep, yep..."
and realize I need to eat more salmon - which I love.
