Day #14

Good morning! Now I am not sure why I never tried this combination before but this morning I tossed in 1 cup of Kombucha to the smoothie and it was even more tasty! That little bit of carbonation and slight bite added a very interesting dimension to the flavor. I would strongly recommend it if you are already an avid Kombucha drinker. If not, maybe just add a little separate from the total smoothie batch.
Any one else try the carrot tops?

  1. I haven't used the carrot tops yet, but they will be an addition soon. I am just using up the last of my garden spinach, and then onto carrot tops and beet greens from the garden.

Does anyone know if the carrots will continue to grow if you just cut some of the greens off?

I am also growing rutabega....and i'll be googling those tops as well.

I also just picked a bunch of raspberries at a friends house this morning and added them to today's smoothie. YAAY FRESH LOCAL PRODUCE...and of the best variety--FREE!!!

Geri- GREAT use of the kombucha (my first batch should be ready soon) i'm a little nervous about it turning out right..but only time will tell! i'll give it a shot in a smoothie when it's done.

Thanks everyone for the great info...

    KEEP ON SMOOTHIN,

  2. I was wondering if you were still doing the kombucha Geri - along with the green smoothies! I'll try the mix sometime, tho I don't know if I want to give up my straight kombucha. I'm a little addicted to it!

  3. Yes, I am still drinking kombucha everyday. I believe I always will. Have you tried it in your smoothie yet? Just a splash makes a delicious difference.
